The Foundation
Zara Siddiqui-Lester is owner and designer at The Colour Union.
She has an inexhaustible wealth of ideas! "I want to mix the old fashion tradition of products lovingly hand-made with the 'state of the art' innovation of digital printing. My work is all about contradiction"
Zara has distilled a lifetime of experience and reflection into three definitive collections all demonstrating an expressive use of colour, type, space and bold pattern.
'Creating contemporary Antiques' is the company 'tag'!

We donate all unused and sample materials to local schools and playgroups.
We donate products to a number of charities for auction.
This is one of many worthy recipients:
CLDF Focus - Children's Liver Disease Foundation
Liver disease charity for children, young people and teenagers.
As a design company using an abundance of colour 'green' is our most important issue.
We try and source all base materials for our products from ethical suppliers and check sustainability and issues of 'fair trade'
We try to use as many 'eco friendly' materials as possible to create our products and recycling is big business here at The Colour Union. (See Urban Chateau 'Limited Editions')
And finally...
We hope you will love our design collections and embrace colour with confidence to create a personal sanctuary of your own. Sorry 'beige' may you rest in peace!
